Proud Mocker Trains the Heart in Wisdom

To teach that disciplined speech protects a person from many troubles and preserves the well-being of one's life.

Proverbs 21:23 follows verse 22, which highlighted the power of wisdom over strength. Now the focus turns inward to personal discipline, specifically in speech. The connection is clear. Wisdom that overcomes strongholds must also govern the tongue. The progression moves from external conquest to internal control.
