Who is Ahiezer in the Bible?

Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai, was a leader of the tribe of Dan during the Exodus and wilderness wanderings of ancient Israel. He was appointed by God as the head of his tribe and is mentioned prominently in the census and organizational records found in Numbers 1:12 and 2:25. The tribe of Dan, under Ahiezer's leadership, was positioned on the north side of the tabernacle along with the tribes of Asher and Naphtali, and Ahiezer presented his tribe's offering at the dedication of the tabernacle, which included a silver plate, a silver basin, and various animals for sacrifice (Numbers 7:66, 71). As a tribal leader, he was responsible for directing the Danites throughout their journey and maintaining their obedience to God's commands (Numbers 10:25). Biography
