Bani בָּנִי
A Levite who helped repair the wall of Jerusalem.
Who is Bani in the Bible?
Bani was a Levite who participated in rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem during the time of Nehemiah, as recorded in Nehemiah 3:17. He worked alongside Hashabiah, the leader of half the district of Keilah, to repair a specific section of the wall. The wall had fallen into disrepair, leaving Jerusalem's inhabitants vulnerable to attack, so Nehemiah organized a large-scale reconstruction effort with different groups responsible for different sections.
