Biography
Chenani is mentioned in Neh.9.4 as one of the Levites who stood on the stairs and led the people in a prayer of confession and worship during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah. He is listed alongside other Levites such as Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani. The prayer they led acknowledged God's faithfulness, recounted Israel's history, and confessed the nation's sins.
