Father of Tikvah's wife Shallum.

Who is Harhas in the Bible?

Harhas, also known as Hasrah, was the father of Shallum's wife in ancient Judah during the reign of King Josiah (2 Kings 22:14). Shallum served as the keeper of the royal wardrobe, and his wife was the prophetess Huldah, making her Harhas' daughter-in-law. When King Josiah's officials discovered the Book of the Law in the temple, the king sent Shallum as part of a delegation to consult with Huldah about its significance. Though Harhas appears only briefly in the biblical narrative, his connection to this pivotal moment in Judah's religious reformation gives his family lasting historical significance.
