Helah חֶלְאָה
One of the two wives of Ashhur.
Who is Helah in the Bible?
Helah was one of the two wives of Ashhur, a descendant of Judah and father of Tekoa (1 Chronicles 4:5). She bore four sons: Zereth, Izhar, Ethnan, and Koz (1 Chronicles 4:7). Ashhur's other wife was named Naarah. Though Helah appears only briefly in the biblical genealogies of Judah, her role as the mother of these sons connects her to the lineage and tribal heritage of Judah during the Old Testament period.
