Who is Kolaiah in the Bible?
Kolaiah was a Benjamite who lived in Jerusalem during the post-exilic period following the Babylonian captivity. He was the son of Maaseiah and is mentioned in Nehemiah 11:7 as one of the residents who resettled in Jerusalem after the exile. Though little is known about his personal life or accomplishments, Kolaiah's inclusion in the genealogical records of Nehemiah demonstrates the importance of documenting the families who returned to rebuild Jerusalem and restore the Jewish community in their homeland.
