Who is Malchijah in the Bible?

Malchijah was a Gershonite Levite and the son of Ethni, mentioned in the genealogical records of 1 Chronicles 6:40. He belonged to the Gershonite clan, one of the three major divisions of the Levites in ancient Israel.
