Believer greeted by Paul

Who is Olympas in the Bible?

Olympas was a Christian believer living in Rome during the apostolic period whom Paul greeted in his letter to the Romans (Rom. 16:15). Paul's decision to mention Olympas by name among other prominent church members suggests he held some standing within the Roman Christian community. Though little is known about his personal life or ministry, Olympas represents the broader network of believers who formed the early church in Rome and maintained fellowship with the apostle Paul despite the physical distance between them.
