Where is Alush in the Bible?
Alush was an Israelite encampment located in the Sinai Peninsula during the Exodus from Egypt, positioned between the stations of Dophkah and Rephidim according to Numbers 33:13-14. This waypoint appears only in the biblical record of Israel's wilderness wanderings and represents one of the many stops the Israelites made during their forty-year journey to the Promised Land. While Alush's exact modern location remains uncertain, it is believed to have been situated in the harsh desert regions of the Sinai, part of the broader route that took the Israelites from Egypt toward Mount Sinai and eventually toward Canaan. The mention of Alush in the itinerary of Israel's wanderings underscores the historical documentation of God's guidance and provision for the Israelite people throughout their desert journey.
