Where is Anab in the Bible?
Anab was a town located in the hill country of Judah, situated approximately twelve miles southwest of Hebron in ancient Palestine. It was originally inhabited by the Anakim, a race of giants mentioned throughout the Old Testament, but was conquered by Joshua during Israel's conquest of Canaan. The capture of Anab is specifically recorded in Joshua 11:21, where it is listed among the cities taken from the Anakim. The site of ancient Anab is identified with the modern location of Khirbet Anab in the southern Judean highlands.
