Where is Balah in the Bible?

Balah was a town in ancient Israel that was allotted to the tribe of Simeon in the Negeb region, as recorded in Joshua 19:3. Located in the southern part of Canaan, it appears in the list of cities given to Simeon's inheritance when the Israelites divided up the Promised Land. The town is also mentioned in Joshua 15:29 under a variant spelling, reflecting different textual traditions. Though Balah held significance as part of Simeon's tribal territory, it remains one of the lesser-known biblical settlements with limited additional historical or theological detail provided in Scripture.
