Where is Beten in the Bible?
Beten was a town in ancient Israel located in the territory allotted to the tribe of Asher during the division of the Promised Land, as recorded in Joshua 19:25. The town was situated in the northern region of Canaan, in what is now northern Israel. While the exact location of biblical Beten cannot be determined with certainty, scholars tentatively identify it with the modern village of el-Baneh. As one of the towns given to Asher, Beten represented part of God's distribution of the land among the twelve tribes of Israel following their conquest of Canaan.
