Where is Beth-car in the Bible?
Beth-car was a location in ancient Israel where a significant military pursuit took place following the return of the Ark of the Covenant to Israelite territory. According to 1 Samuel 7:11, the Israelites chased the Philistines to Beth-car after a decisive victory at Mizpah. The site is believed to be located in the region of central Palestine, possibly corresponding to the modern location of Karem, positioned along the natural valley routes through which the Philistines would have retreated. This event marks an important moment in Israel's early history, demonstrating God's deliverance of the people from Philistine oppression and the restoration of the sacred Ark.
