Where is Beth-jeshimoth in the Bible?

Beth-jeshimoth was a town located in the plains of Moab, near the Dead Sea and the Jordan River valley, in what is now modern-day Jordan. The Israelites camped at this location during their wilderness journey, as mentioned in Numbers 33:49, and the town was later allotted to the tribe of Reuben according to Joshua 13:20. Despite being assigned to Israel, Beth-jeshimoth appears in the prophet Ezekiel's oracle against Moab (Ezekiel 25:9), suggesting that Moab controlled the city during that later period. The site is potentially identified with the ruins at Khirbet es-Suweimeh, located approximately three miles east of the Jordan River's mouth, where archaeological remains and a well have been discovered.

etched to Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab (Nu 33:49). In Jos 12:3 the way to Beth-jeshimoth is described as South of the Arabah, near the Dead Sea. It was in the lot assigned to Reuben (Jos 13:20), At what times and how long it was actually held by Israel we do not know; but it appears in Eze 25:9 as belonging to Moab. It may be identical with Khirbet es-Suweimeh, where there are some ruins and a well, about 3 miles East of the mouth of the Jordan.
