Where is Chitlish in the Bible?

Chitlish was a town located in the Shephelah region, the low-lying hills between the coastal plains and the Judean highlands in ancient Israel. According to Joshua 15:40, it was one of the cities allotted to the tribe of Judah during the initial division of the Promised Land. While Chitlish is mentioned only briefly in the biblical record, its inclusion in the list of Judahite towns reflects the territorial organization of Israel after the conquest of Canaan. The exact location of ancient Chitlish remains uncertain, though it was situated in the western part of Judah's territory.
