Where is Eshtaol in the Bible?
Eshtaol was a city in ancient Israel located in the foothills of Judah, situated about a mile and a half east of Zorah in what is now central Israel. The city is primarily known as the hometown of Samson, the famous judge and warrior whose story appears in the Book of Judges, and it was here that the Spirit of the Lord first began to move upon him. Eshtaol also played a significant role in the migration of the tribe of Dan, as men from this city were part of the 600 Danites who journeyed north to capture the city of Laish and establish a new settlement. According to biblical tradition, Samson was buried in Eshtaol after his death, making the city an important landmark in his legacy.
