Where is Gederoth in the Bible?

Gederoth was a town in the kingdom of Judah, located in the southwestern region of ancient Israel near the Shephelah lowlands. The town appears in the biblical record as a possession of Judah that was captured by the Philistines during the reign of King Ahaz in the 8th century BCE, as documented in 2 Chronicles 28:18. Based on historical and geographical evidence, Gederoth likely corresponds to the site of Katrah, located southeast of Yebnah in what is now central Israel. The capture of Gederoth exemplifies the military pressure that Judah faced from the Philistines during Ahaz's troubled reign, a period marked by spiritual unfaithfulness and military defeat.

Eusebius, Onomasticon places a very large village named Gedrom 10 Roman miles from Lydda on the road to Eleutheropolis. This points to Katrah, Southeast of Yebnah.
