Where is Hali in the Bible?
Hali was a town in ancient Canaan that was allotted to the tribe of Asher during the division of the Promised Land under Joshua. According to Joshua 19:25, Hali appears in the list of cities assigned to Asher's territorial inheritance. The town was located in what is now northern Israel, approximately 13 miles northeast of Acre in a region known as the Galilee area. Though Hali receives only a brief mention in Scripture, it represents one of many towns that defined the borders and holdings of the Israelite tribes in the Promised Land. Today, scholars identify the site with et-`Alia, a location in the Levantine coastal region.
