Hannathon standard
mit of lower Galilee (Neubauer, Geog. du Talmud, 179). It is represented by the modern Kefr 'Anan, about 3 miles Southeast of er-Rameh.
Where is Hannathon in the Bible?
Hannathon was a border town located in the territory of the tribe of Zebulun in lower Galilee, as recorded in Joshua 19:14. The town marked part of the boundary line of Zebulun's tribal allotment in ancient Israel. Scholars identify Hannathon with the modern village of Kefr 'Anan, situated approximately three miles southeast of er-Rameh in the Galilee region. While Hannathon is mentioned only briefly in Scripture as a geographical marker, it represents one of the towns that defined the inheritance boundaries God established for the twelve tribes of Israel.
