Harod light
Harod was a spring near the hill of Moreh, where Gideon gathered his army before battling the Midianites (Judges 7:1).
Where is Harod in the Bible?
Harod was a spring located in the valley of Jezreel in ancient Israel, near the hill of Moreh in what is now the northern West Bank. The spring is most famous as the gathering place where the judge Gideon assembled his army of 32,000 men before his battle against the Midianites, as recorded in Judges 7:1. At this location, God instructed Gideon to reduce his forces through a specific test of water drinking, ultimately selecting only 300 men to fight against the much larger Midianite army. This account illustrates a key biblical theme: God's power to deliver victory through faith rather than human strength and numbers.
