Where is Helbah in the Bible?
Helbah was a Canaanite town located in the territory that was assigned to the tribe of Asher in northern Israel. The town appears in the Book of Judges, where it is mentioned as one of several cities that the Asherites were unable to fully conquer and control during the period of the judges. According to Judges 1:31, Helbah remained under Canaanite rule despite Israel's efforts to occupy the land, highlighting the incomplete nature of Israel's conquest of Canaan. This failure to fully possess their assigned territory was a recurring theme during the judges period, often attributed in biblical narrative to the Israelites' lack of faith or disobedience.
