Where is Idalah in the Bible?

Idalah was a town located in the territory of Zebulun in ancient Israel, as recorded in Joshua 19:15. The town was part of the tribal lands allotted to the tribe of Zebulun during the initial division of Canaan among the Israelite tribes. While Idalah is mentioned only briefly in Scripture, scholars believe it may correspond to the modern archaeological site of Khirbet el-Chuwara, located south of Beit Lachm in what is now Israel. Though little is known about the town's specific history or significance, its inclusion in the biblical record reflects the detailed territorial boundaries established for God's people in the Promised Land.
