Where is Janim in the Bible?
Janim was a town located in the hill country of Judah in ancient Israel, as mentioned in Joshua 15:53 during the division of the Promised Land among the Israelite tribes. The town's exact modern location is unknown, but it was situated in the mountainous region of Judah, which covered the central highlands of what is now the West Bank. Janim appears only briefly in the biblical record, listed among the cities allotted to the tribe of Judah. While the town itself holds limited theological significance in scripture, it represents one of many settlements that comprised the territorial inheritance of Judah in the post-conquest period.
