of Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, one of David's mighty men (2Sa 23:20; 1Ch 11:22). "Jekabzeel and the villages thereof," one of the places re-inhabited by the men of Judah (Ne 11:25), appears to be the same place.

Where is Kabzeel in the Bible?

Kabzeel was a town located in the Negev region of ancient Judah, in what is now southern Israel. The town is best known as the hometown of Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, who was one of King David's most distinguished mighty men and warriors (2 Samuel 23:20; 1 Chronicles 11:22). After the Babylonian exile, the town was resettled by men of Judah and is referred to as Jekabzeel in the book of Nehemiah (11:25). While Kabzeel appears in biblical records as an important settlement in Judah's southern territory, its exact archaeological location remains unknown to scholars today.
