Where is Kedemoth in the Bible?

Kedemoth was a town located in the region of Moab, east of the Jordan River in what is now modern-day Jordan. It is mentioned in the Bible as the place from which Moses sent messengers to King Sihon of the Amorites, as recorded in Deuteronomy 2:26. After the Israelite conquest of Canaan, Kedemoth became one of the Levitical cities within the territory of Reuben, designated as a city for the priests and their families (Joshua 21:37; 1 Chronicles 6:79). The town served as an important administrative and religious center in Israel's settlement of the Transjordan region.
