Where is King's_Highway in the Bible?
The King's Highway was an ancient trade route that ran through the regions of Edom and Moab in what is now modern-day Jordan, east of the Dead Sea. During the Israelites' wilderness journey toward Canaan, Moses requested permission to travel along this established road to reach the Promised Land (Numbers 20:17; 21:22). The Edomites and Moabites refused Israel's passage through their territories, forcing the Israelites to take alternate routes. The King's Highway represents both a geographical obstacle the Israelites had to navigate and a reminder of God's guidance during their forty-year journey through the wilderness.
