Where is Kiriath-huzoth in the Bible?

Kiriath-huzoth is a biblical place mentioned in the Book of Numbers, located in or near the region of Moab in ancient Palestine. The city appears in Numbers 22:39, where King Balak of Moab brought the prophet Balaam after they first met at the City of Moab. While the exact location remains uncertain, scholars believe it was situated not far from Moab's capital city. Some have proposed that Kiriath-huzoth may be identical with either Kiriathaim or Kerioth, though no definitive identification has been established. The site is significant in the biblical narrative as the place where Balak attempted to convince Balaam to curse the Israelites during their wilderness journey.

: A place to which, after their meeting, Balak and Balaam went together (Nu 22:39). They met at "the City of Moab" (Nu 22:36), which is probably identical with KIR OF MOAB (which see); Kiriath-huzoth was probably therefore not far from that city. Some would identify it with Kiriathaim; some with Kerioth; as yet there is no certainty.
