Where is Marah in the Bible?
Marah was a desert oasis located in the Sinai Peninsula, visited by the Israelites during their exodus from Egypt. According to Exodus 15:23-25 and Numbers 33:8-9, the Israelites encountered bitter, brackish water at this location and complained to Moses about the undrinkable supply. Moses responded by casting a tree into the water, which miraculously made it sweet and drinkable. This event demonstrated God's provision and care for the Israelites during their wilderness wanderings and became a test of their faith and obedience to the Lord.
