Where is Mithkah in the Bible?
Mithkah was a camping location in the Sinai Desert where the Israelites stopped during their forty-year wilderness wandering after the Exodus from Egypt. The place is mentioned in the Book of Numbers as part of the detailed itinerary of Israel's journey toward the Promised Land, positioned between the encampments at Terah and Hashmonah. While Mithkah's exact modern location remains uncertain, it is situated within the broader region of the Sinai Peninsula where the Israelites traveled. This stop, though briefly mentioned, represents one of many stations in the Israelites' extended wilderness wanderings and their reliance on God's guidance and provision during their desert migration.
