Where is Siddim_Valley in the Bible?
The Valley of Siddim was located near the Dead Sea in ancient Canaan, in the region that corresponds to modern-day Israel and Palestine. This valley appears in the Book of Genesis as the site of a significant military conflict where the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah battled against the kings of Elam and their allied forces. The battle of the Valley of Siddim is recorded in Genesis 14, where five local kings fought against four invading kings in what appears to be one of the earliest recorded wars in the Bible. This event is theologically significant because it sets the stage for Abraham's intervention to rescue his nephew Lot, demonstrating Abraham's faith and courage while also establishing his prominence among the peoples of Canaan.
