Sorek Valley, the place where Delilah lived and where Samson's downfall began (Judg. 16:4).
Where is Sorek_Valley in the Bible?
Sorek Valley is a geographical region in ancient Palestine, located between the territories of Judah and the Philistines in what is now modern-day Israel. The valley is primarily known from the Book of Judges as the place where Delilah lived, the woman who played a crucial role in the downfall of Samson (Judges 16:4). It was in this valley that Samson became entangled in a relationship with Delilah, who was bribed by the Philistines to discover the secret of his supernatural strength. This location is theologically significant as the setting where one of Israel's judges fell into temptation and ultimately lost his God-given power, illustrating the consequences of compromising one's covenant with God.
