Where is Tabbath in the Bible?

Tabbath was a location in ancient Palestine situated in the Jordan Valley east of Beth-shan, near the Jordan River. This place appears in the Book of Judges as the site where Midianite forces fled after being decisively defeated by Gideon and his army (Judges 7:22). The fleeing Midianites attempted to cross the Jordan River at Tabbath to escape Gideon's pursuing forces during one of the most celebrated military victories in Old Testament history. Though Tabbath held significance as a waypoint in this dramatic battle narrative, no archaeological remains bearing this name have been identified in modern times, making its exact location uncertain despite its general placement in the Jordan Valley region.
