Where is Zeboiim in the Bible?

Zeboiim was one of the cities of the plain in ancient Canaan, located in the region of the Vale of Siddim near Sodom and Gomorrah. The city is mentioned in Genesis 10:19 and 14:2, 8, where it appears among the kingdoms that rebelled against the king of Elam. According to biblical accounts in Deuteronomy 29:23 and Hosea 11:8, Zeboiim was destroyed by God along with the other cities of the plain due to the wickedness of its inhabitants. The exact location of Zeboiim has never been positively identified by archaeologists, though scholars believe it must be determined in connection with the Vale of Siddim, which is also the location of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is important to note that Zeboiim should not be confused with Zeboim, a different place mentioned in 1 Samuel 13:18 and Nehemiah 11:34.
