Where is Zophim in the Bible?
Zophim was a field located on the summit of Mount Pisgah in the region of Moab, east of the Jordan River. This place appears in the Book of Numbers as the site where the prophet Balaam pronounced blessings upon the people of Israel. Balaam was brought there by Balak, the king of Moab, who had hoped the prophet would curse Israel, but instead Balaam delivered divine blessings. The high vantage point of Mount Pisgah made Zophim a significant location for observing and addressing the Israelite encampment during their wilderness wanderings.
