ἀλήθεια (alḗtheia) is a Greek word meaning "truth". ἀλήθεια, -ας, ἡ (ἀληθής), [in LXX chiefly for אֱמֶת (on which, see Cremer, 627f. God’s truth stands firm even when humanity proves false. This term runs through the canonical themes of Kingdom, Messiah, Revelation.
