Honest Scales Marks the Path of the Upright

Proverbs 16:11 teaches that honest justice reflects God's character in everyday life. The gospel reveals that Christ calls His followers to live with integrity, reflecting God's righteousness in every sphere of life.

Jesus calls his people to whole-life integrity, where hidden practices and “small” matters are brought under God’s rule. This proverb’s insistence that commerce is accountable to the LORD aligns with Jesus’ demand for righteousness that is sincere, not performative.

To teach that standards of justice and honest measurement originate from the Lord, and therefore all economic dealings fall under His moral authority.
