Abishuaאֲבִישׁוּעַ
Descendant of Benjamin, son of Bela
Who is Abishua in the Bible?
Abishua was a descendant of the tribe of Benjamin and the son of Bela, who himself was a direct son of Benjamin, the patriarch of one of Israel's twelve tribes. He appears in the genealogical records of 1 Chronicles 8:4, where he is listed among the sons of Bela in the lineage of Benjamin. Though little is known about Abishua personally beyond his genealogical placement, his inclusion in the biblical record establishes the family lines of the Benjamite tribe and demonstrates the continuity of Israel's tribal heritage.
