Who is Nethanel in the Bible?

Nethanel was a scribe during King David's reign who served as a record keeper and administrative official in the royal court. He was the son of Shemaiah and is mentioned in 1 Chronicles 24:6 as one of those who helped organize the priestly divisions for temple service. His primary role involved assisting in the casting of lots that determined which priests would serve in which divisions, a task requiring both literacy and administrative skill. Biography
