Father of Ahihud, a leader from Asher

Who is Shelomi in the Bible?

Shelomi was the father of Ahihud, a tribal leader from Asher during the Israelite settlement of Canaan. He appears in Scripture only in Numbers 34:27, where his son Ahihud is named as Asher's representative to oversee the division of the Promised Land. Ahihud worked alongside Eleazar the priest and Joshua to distribute the land as an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel. Though Shelomi himself had no recorded independent role or accomplishments, his mention underscores the tribal leadership structure that governed Israel's territorial allocation after the conquest.
