Daughter of Rehoboam with Absolom's daughter

Who is Shelomith in the Bible?

Shelomith was a daughter of King Rehoboam, who ruled the southern kingdom of Judah after the division of Solomon's kingdom. According to 2 Chronicles 11:20, she was born to Rehoboam and his wife Maacah, who was the daughter of Absalom, the famous son of King David. This made Shelomith a great-granddaughter of David through the line of Absalom, connecting her to some of the most significant figures in Israel's royal history. While Shelomith herself is mentioned only briefly in the biblical record, her existence demonstrates the family connections that bound together the royal houses of Israel during the period of the divided monarchy.
