Where is Chesulloth in the Bible?
Chesulloth, also known as Chisloth-tabor or simply Tabor, was a border town between the tribes of Issachar and Zebulun in ancient Israel. Located in the northern part of the Jezreel Valley (Esdraelon), it is mentioned in the Book of Joshua as part of the territorial divisions assigned to the Israelite tribes following their conquest of Canaan. The town is believed to be represented by the modern village of Iksal, situated on the northern edge of the Jezreel Valley approximately three miles west of Mount Tabor. While Chesulloth itself is not associated with major biblical events, its proximity to Mount Tabor, a significant geographical and spiritual landmark in Scripture, places it within an important region of ancient Israel's history.
