Where is Hobah in the Bible?
Hobah was a location north of Damascus in ancient Syria where Abraham pursued and defeated the army of Chedorlaomer after rescuing his nephew Lot from captivity. This event is recorded in Genesis 14:15, where Abraham's military victory demonstrated both his military prowess and his commitment to family. The place is believed to correspond with the modern location of Choba, situated approximately 60 miles northwest of Damascus. While Hobah appears only once in Scripture, it marks an important moment in Abraham's life and shows God's blessing upon him as he defended his relatives and their possessions.
