Where is Holon in the Bible?

Holon is a city of Moab mentioned in the Book of Jeremiah as part of the prophet's oracle of judgment against the Moabite nation. Located on the Moabite plateau (the elevated plain east of the Dead Sea in what is now Jordan), Holon appears in Jeremiah 48:21 among the cities that will fall under God's judgment. The exact location of ancient Holon remains unknown to scholars, though some have suggested it may correspond to the ruins at Beit Alam. As part of Jeremiah's prophecy against Moab, Holon represents the judgment that will come upon the nation's cities and its people.
