Where is Iyim in the Bible?
Iyim was an Israelite campsite located in the extreme south of Canaan, toward the border of Edom, during the wilderness wanderings described in the Bible. The place is mentioned in Numbers 33:45 as one of the stations where the Israelites camped during their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Iyim also appears in Joshua 15:29, though some English Bible versions incorrectly render the name as "Iim." The exact location of Iyim has not been identified by modern scholars, but its position near Edom suggests it lay in the southern region of ancient Israel's territory.
