Where is Judea in the Bible?
Judea is the southern region of Israel in the Bible, located in what is now the West Bank and parts of modern-day Israel. Jerusalem, the capital city, stands as its most prominent location and spiritual center throughout biblical history. This region became the heartland of Jewish life and culture, especially after the Babylonian exile when the Jewish people returned to rebuild their community. Judea appears prominently in the books of Ezra and Jeremiah in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, where it serves as the setting for much of Jesus' ministry and the early development of Christianity.
