Where is Mizpah in the Bible?
Mizpah was an important city located in the territory of Benjamin, in the central highlands of ancient Israel. The city served as a gathering place where the Israelites assembled for judgment and prayer, particularly during the period of the judges as recorded in the book of Judges. Mizpah is also known as the hometown of the prophet Samuel, who ministered there throughout his life and anointed both Saul and David as kings of Israel. Additionally, Mizpah is identified with Arimathea, the hometown of Joseph of Arimathea, who according to the Gospels was a member of the Sanhedrin and provided his tomb for Jesus' burial after the crucifixion.
