Zaanannim light
Zaanannim, a place near Kedesh in Naphtali, associated with the Kenites and mentioned in connection with the story of Deborah and Barak (Josh. 19:33; Judg. 4:11).
Where is Zaanannim in the Bible?
Zaanannim was a location in northern Israel near Kedesh in the territory of Naphtali, in what is now the upper Galilee region. The place is mentioned in the Book of Joshua as a boundary marker for Naphtali's tribal territory (Josh. 19:33) and appears again in the Book of Judges in connection with the famous story of Deborah and Barak. According to Judges 4:11, Zaanannim was where Heber the Kenite had pitched his tent, and it served as a significant location during the military campaign against the Canaanite general Sisera. Though little is known about the exact modern location, Zaanannim represents an important geographical point in Israel's early tribal divisions and the period of the judges.
