Where is Zanoah in the Bible?
Zanoah was a town located in the hill country of Judah, in the region of ancient Israel. It is mentioned in Joshua 15:56 as one of the cities allotted to the tribe of Judah during the settlement of the Promised Land. After the Babylonian exile, the inhabitants of Zanoah participated in the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls, specifically repairing the Valley Gate as recorded in Nehemiah 3:13. Modern scholars identify Zanoah with the site of Zanu'a, located approximately 10 miles north of Eleutheropolis (modern Beit Jibrin), along the road from Jerusalem.
