(νύμφη), [in LXX: Tob.6:13,16* ;] the bride-chamber (Heb. חֻפָּה, LXX, παστός, Psa.19:5, Jol.2:16): Mat.22:10 (WE; γάμος, RV); οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ ν. (cf. cl. νυμφαγωγός, νυμφευτής), the bridegroom's friends who have charge of the nuptial arrangements: Mat.9:15, Mrk.2:19, Luk.5:34.
